WILLIAM BORDERS

WILLIAM BORDERS was the eighth child of Major Hugh Borders and his wife, Luvicy Sepaugh Borders. William Borders was born March 24, 1846, and died April 28, 1932. He married Martha E. Hambright, October 3, 1871, who was the daughter of J. Martin Hambright, lived and died near the Kings Mountain battle ground. To this union were born two and three daughters, to wit: Zulia Williams, G. Clarence, Lula, and Jimmie (a girl). Martha Hambright Borders died March 22, 1942. William and Martha H. Borders are buried in Blacksburg Cemetery, Blacksburg, S. C.

1. Zulia Borders was born September 25, 1872, and was married to J. Emmit Plaxico, February 9, 1898, and to this marriage were born two children, R. Lawrence Plaxico and a son who died in infancy. J. Emmit Plaxico died in 1949, and Zulia B. Plaxico died March 16, 1957. Zulia B. Plaxico and J. Emmit plaxico are buried in Smyrna A.R.P. Church Cemetery, Smyrna, S. C.

(A) R. Lawrence Plaxico was born December 26, 1898, and was married to Elizabeth Tribble, October 1, 1926. To them was born one son, Robert Lawrence plaxico, Jr., August 13, 1927.

(aa) Robert Lawrence Plaxico, Jr. married Jo Ann Lee on August 23, 1952. To them were born three children: Pattie Anne, 1953; Robert Irby, 1954; and Nancy Young, 1959.

(b) An infant son was born March 7, 1903, and died June 9, 1903.

2. William Borders, Jr. was born December 10, 1880, and is unmarried

3. G. Clarence Borders was born March 10, 1883, and married Mrs. Katherine D. Borders in July, 1923. G. Clarence Borders died March 20, 1951, and is buried in Blacksburg Cemetery, Blacksburg, S. C.

4. Lula Borders was born November 25, 1886, and was married to John W. Miller, in l912, and to them were born three children, John W. Miller, Jr., Lula Borders Miller, and Martha Janet Miller. John W. Miller, died August 18, 1946 and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, York, S. C.

(a) John W. Miller, Jr., was born July 9, 1913, and was unmarried. He died July 22, 1943, and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, York, S. C.

(b) Lula Borders Miller was born July 16, 1916, and married Charles F. Nunn, June 15, 1936. To them was born one daughter, Nita Ann Nunn, March 21, 1942.

(c) Martha Janet Miller was born 1920, and married Samuel Edwards, in 1945. To them were born two children, Martha Janet Edwards, in 1947, and Mary Elizabeth Edwards, in 1948.

5. Jimmie Borders was born October 23, 1889, and died July 3, 1899, at the of 10. She is buried in Blacksburg Cemetery, Blacksburg, S. C.
