(h) Joseph Forest Austell was born in 1916, and was married to Katherine Louise Baily in 1950. To this union were born three children; Kathy Ann, born in 1952; Mary Jo, born in 1954; and Madge Baily, born in l96l.

(i) Violet Austell was born in 1922, and was married to John Dixon Cline in 1942. To this union were four children born; Linda Austell, born in 1943; Peggy Lou, born in 1949; Martha Sue, born in 1952; and Johnnie Dixon, born in 1955. Violet Austell Cline died in 1970.

(h-i) Linda Austell married Toby Lee Thrift, born in 1964. To this union was born two children; Raquel Lee, born in 1968; and Amanda Cline, born in 1973.

(h-2) Peggy Lou married Dennis Goode Goforth, in 1968. To this union was born Jessica Denise, in 1973.

(j) Thomas Maynard Austell ("Buddy") was born 1925 and was married to Anita Hart Owens, in 1952. To this union were born three children; Forest Maynard, born in 1955, twins, Girls, born in 1957, Carey Lynn survived and the other died in infancy.

8. Katherine Levicy Austell was born August 22, 1874, and married Dr. Joseph P. Aydolette, January 17, 1900. He was born February 15, 1864 and died March 15, 1944 At the writing of this issue, Katherine Levicy Aydolette is the longest lived of the descendents of Major Hugh Borders. She died in 1978.

9. Mary Corene Austell was born April 8, 1877, and was married to Wellington Clarence Sarratt, January 5, 1899. He died in, 1959. They had six children; Lucille, Vergie, Shaw, Grace, Ramseur, and Philander Knox. Mary Corene Austell Sarratt died in 1966.

(a) Lucille Sarratt was born 1901. She attended Limestone and Lenoir Rhyne Colleges. Lucille married Hubert Pearson Haas of Union, S.C. on October 5, 1922. They have three children; Mary Frances, James Wellington, 1926 and Phil, 1930.

(a-l) Mary attended Lander College in Greenwood, S.C. and married Henry Charles Segal of Philadelphia, Pa. in 1945. They have two children; Lauren Amy, born in 1955; now a student at Guilford College, Greensboro, N.C. and Robert Charles, born in 1957. He is a student at Christ Church School, Christ Church, Va. Henry Charles Segal is a graduate of the University of Nebraska and was a Lt. Colonel with Strategic Air Command at the Pentagon. Since retirement, he is with the Pentagon Military Citizens Credit Corp. of Washington, D.C as Computer Programing System Manager. The family resides at Reston, Va.

(a-2) James Haas attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He married Jerine Victoria Martin of Shelby N. C. in 1950. Children: Vicki Carole, born in 1960. James died in 1983.
